Frank Capra’s timeless film “It’s a Wonderful Life” has been given a fresh and creative new adaptation with Miracle in Bedford Falls. The award-winning team of Lowell Alexander and Mark Cabaniss have collaborated to bring this classic holiday screenplay to exciting new theatrical heights.
Miracle in Bedford Falls tells the story of George Bailey, a man whose life seems picturesque: he married the love of his life, has four young children and runs his own business. However, on Christmas Eve, George encounters severe business difficulties at the Bailey Building and Loan Association. George’s Uncle Billy loses the cash they owe the bank, which is owned by the Scrooge-esque Mr. Potter, leading George to contemplate suicide. Fortunately he is saved at the last moment by the appearance of his guardian angel, Clarence.
