From June 11 through July 4 the Military History Center in Broken Arrow will have an exhibit showcasing special quilts made by the Northeast Oklahoma Chapter of Quilts of Valor. This will be at the Center’s museum location in the Rose District at 112 North Main Street in downtown Broken Arrow. Quilts of Valor are made for men and women of the United States military and are given to injured soldiers and veterans. Quilts of Valor members will share stories behind those who have received their quilts, the history of their quilts, and how and why they make them. A representative of Quilts of Valor will be at the museum each day during this exhibit. The museum, which represents all branches of the military service and has artifacts from all of America’s major wars, is open from 10 AM to 4 PM Tuesday through Friday and from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday.
